The Wuling Starlight S is based on the Star Wing Aesthetics design language. The front adopts a narrow split light group with a “7” shape. The rear also comes with the 7-shaped LED taillights, echoing the headlights. In addition, there is a high-mounted brake light to enhance its sportiness. Four exterior paints will be available for consumers to choose from: Star White, Interstellar Blue, Star Gray, and Star Gold.

The side profile features traditional door handles, blackened window frames, side skirts, wheel eyebrows, and roof luggage racks. The length, width, and height are 4745/1890/1680 mm, and the wheelbase is 2800 mm.

The car runs on 235/55 R18 tires.

In terms of power, the plug-in hybrid variant is powered by SGMW’s Lingxi powertrain consisting of a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and a front electric motor, coupled with lithium iron phosphate battery packs. The maximum engine power is 78 kW (105 hp). Two battery pack capacities will be offered: 9.5 kWh and 20.5 kWh, which correspond to a pure electric range of 43 km and 90 km (assuming CLTC), respectively.

Additionally, the pure electric variant powertrain is equipped with a 150 kW (201 hp) front electric motor and is expected to be matched with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, but the specific data has not yet been exposed at this time.

Coming to the cockpit, the overall layout is similar to that of the Wuling Starlight (see spec here). There is a 15.6-inch central control screen powered by the Ling OS vehicle operating system, an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel, and a flat-bottomed double-spoke multi-function steering wheel. On the center console are two mobile phone storage compartments and cup holders, and a small number of physical buttons are retained.

Other configurations include hooks throughout the interior, an eye-glasses storage box, additional storage space under the center console, and a rear armrest with cupholders.

A 1.18㎡ panoramic sunroof is also present.

Furthermore, the driver seat supports 6-way electric adjustment and the co-pilot seat supports 4-way electric adjustment, as well as heating and ventilation. Similarly, the rear seats support heating and backrest adjustment with a maximum tilt angle of 127°. The front seats can be laid flat to form a bed with the rear seats.

Moreover, the standard trunk volume is 525 L and provides 85 L of hidden storage space. When the rear row is folded down, the trunk volume can be further expanded to 1768 liters.
