The Lynk & Co Z02 electric fastback crossover, aimed at European markets, started pre-sales in China. It will enter the domestic market under the Z20 name with a starting price of 146,000 yuan (20,200 USD). Lynk & Co was founded by Geely and Volvo in 2017 as a semi-premium brand aimed at young buyers. It initially focused on producing petrol-powered and plug-in hybrid vehicles. In 2024, Lynk & Co entered the BEV segment with the Z10 electric sedan (see specs). It started competing with the Geely-owned Zeekr brand, which also makes electric cars.

Recently, Zeekr confirmed it will acquire the majority share of Lynk & Co to adjust the strategic development of this company and prevent internal rivalry. However, Lynk & Co has already started pre-sales of one more direct competitor of the Zeekr model. It is the appealing Lynk & Co Z02 fastback crossover aimed at overseas markets.

More about Lynk & Co Z02

The domestic name of the Lynk & Co Z02 is Z20. However, this model will sell in the Global market with the Z02 nameplate. This fastback SUV boasts a minimalistic exterior styling with a closed front end, distinguishing running lights, and flush door handles. From the back, the Lynk & Co Z02 adopts a single taillight strip that also acts as a ducktail spoiler. Thanks to a low beltline, this crossover has a dynamic appearance. It looks especially appealing in a pink body color.

Here, we have to underline the Lynk & Co Z02’s styling stands close to the Geely-backed Zeekr X. These two models share a similar SEA modular architecture. The interior of the Lynk & Co Z02 is also close to the Zeekr X. It has a large touchscreen, a thin LCD instrument cluster, and a two-spoke steering wherewith a gear shifter mounted behind it. The Lynk & Co’s latest model features a head-up display and a large storage compartment in the center tunnel.

Regarding dimensions, the Lynk & Co Z02 also stays in line with the Zeekr X. The newly released model measures 4460/1845/1573 mm with a wheelbase of 2755. The Lynk & Co Z20 is available with RWD only. It has a 250 kW (335 hp) e-motor powered by a 62 kWh LFP battery. Its range reaches 530 km CLTC. The Lynk & Co Z02 can charge from 10 to 80% in 15 minutes, thanks to the 4.5C technology. This means the charging power of the Lynk & Co Z02 is 4.5 times the battery capacity (up to 280 kW DC).
