Inland Revenue Board CEO Datuk Dr. Abu Tariq Jamaluddin has been appointed as President Commonwealth Organisation of Tax Administrators (CATA) for the term 2024- 2027 announced during the 44th CATA Technical Conference in Mauritius.
CATA is an international tax organization made up of administrators taxes from the 47 Commonwealth countries. It is the largest tax organization in the world according to the number of tax administrator memberships. The main objective of CATA is
to help member countries achieve excellence in all aspects of taxation administration. CATA until now has played a role
important in promoting the modernization of taxation administration and the use of efficient work policies, processes and procedures among countries- Commonwealth countries especially developing countries.
